Re: Boulevard 2020 Releases

I picked up a bottle of Platonic, but I don't know when I'll get around to drinking it. It's absurd that they're still putting big beers in 750ml bottles...especially at a time when bottle shares are (or should be) on hiatus. I was interested in the Foeder beers until I saw the malt profile. Given t...

Re: New Kansas City Area Brewery / Brewpubs

Lost Evenings in Lenexa opened today. Pat is an award winning homebrewer and all around good dude. He tends to make sessionable beers, which is what he's opening with.

Re: Craft beer in the time of Coronavirus

Guys, if you haven't had Sandhills West Coast IPA, go get it now. It won't be around long.

Re: Likely moving to Perry near Lawrence and Topeka

I only know about the Lawrence Brewers Guild homebrew club. They're a pretty active group. Good folks from what I can tell.

Speaking of Sandhills. Picked up a 4-pack of their Other Half Collab was so dang good.
It was as good or better than any NE I've had from BKS. Didn't have the hop bite / heat I often get from BKS NEs.

I have done curbside pickup at Sandhills twice, and all of the beers I have had from them have been super tasty.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Tim
Best brewery in JOCO IMO!

Re: Craft beer in the time of Coronavirus

I grabbed a couple crowlers from Transport, but my big haul was four crowlers and a keg from my favorite local brewery: Alma Mader. They didn't have any 1/6bbl kegs of Premient, but I got Conjunction which is an awesome Kolsch. I wanted to hit Sandhills too, but it didn't work out. I'm good to hunke...

https://www.flatlandkc.org/eats-drinks/hops-hysteria-2020/tap-list-hops-hysteria-beer-bracket-begins-today-untappd/ I thought this would be fun to participate in, but straight out of the gate, I got Tank 7 vs. Second Breakfast Porter from East Forty Brewing Co., which is somewhere I will probably n...

You guys are being awfully diplomatic about this. :D I guess I just don't feel like dealing with it in that way.
Well, if they were to close the Beer Hall, the response will not be diplomatic! The Beer Hall is what I like best about Boulevard these days.
