Re: New in August

It's like Surly is throwing a few test teases at us, but not even using their best stuff. Though I was happy to get some Hell Lager a couple months ago.

Would be nice to get it at other times besides the once a year I visit St Louis and slip over the border into Illinois.

Re: Boulevard discontinues Bully! Porter

I'd say I've had less Blvd but Zon and Bob's 47 are favorites I always get in their season and they do good special releases. I'm sure there will be some in my fridge more often than not but I like variety too much to get everything they put out. Snow & Tell in August is an odd choice though. There ...

Re: Boulevard discontinues Bully! Porter

A bit of good news. Our old friend Bully! visits us as part of the fall sample 12 pack along with Snow & Tell, Wheat, and a tasting room IPA according to their recent FB post it should be out next week.

Re: Boulevard 2020 Releases

I picked up a bottle of Platonic, but I don't know when I'll get around to drinking it. It's absurd that they're still putting big beers in 750ml bottles...especially at a time when bottle shares are (or should be) on hiatus. I'd have liked that, as I do most big beers, in a 4-pack format - even 12...

Re: North Coast

Not 100% sure but I believe I remember seeing the usual North Coast selection at Gomers Midtown a few weeks ago. I'm not in that area much since I'm working from home in Independence. I punched up North Coast's website and it seems to be widely available around here though, but of course it also inc...

Re: Boulevard discontinues Bully! Porter

I am definitely happy about the increased scene, KC did seem a bit late to the party. Only issue, and this only applies to me (caregiving, wife not a fan of beer, etc), is that circumstances dictate that I don't get out much LOL. I'm not mad at Blvd at the end of the day, I figured the days were num...

Re: Boulevard discontinues Bully! Porter

Almost like that someone is taking this more personally than me. As I originally started with craft beer 20+ years ago, Bully was the first "dark" beer I took a chance on and I always enjoyed it. I only saw the news a couple of weeks ago, but I cannot find any remaining stock as I continue to look u...

When I was in Lukas OP this morning, they still had 3 bottles of Utopias. When I left they still had 3. I admit I was tempted.
I am always tempted as well, never bought it though. Keeps like hard alcohol which helps. But yeah $$$.
This would be a good time to hit the powerball...

Re: New in Oktober-fest

They also have Surly in StL now so I got some Xtra-Citra Pale Ale, and a few other things. Randall's still seems to be the chain to beat as far as bottle shops go there. I get that way once or twice a year. Is that Surly on the Missouri side? I've gotten Surly on the Illinois side the last couple o...

Re: KC Area Breweries - Untappd Ratings

Shameful, I've only been to 7 of these. It will be a challenge getting to those that open at happy hour, but I need to work on those open on Friday middays on my next hooky day.
