Re: New in Oktober-fest

They also have Surly in StL now so I got some Xtra-Citra Pale Ale, and a few other things. Randall's still seems to be the chain to beat as far as bottle shops go there. I get that way once or twice a year. Is that Surly on the Missouri side? I've gotten Surly on the Illinois side the last couple o...

Re: KC Area Breweries - Untappd Ratings

Shameful, I've only been to 7 of these. It will be a challenge getting to those that open at happy hour, but I need to work on those open on Friday middays on my next hooky day.

Re: Goose Island Reveals 2019 Bourbon County Stout Lineup

Well I'm not chasing trucks. I'd have to find them first LOL.

The double barrel sounds interesting. Also sounds expensive and scarce.

But I'm a sucker for rye so if that shows up here I probably go for it.

Re: Goose Island Reveals 2019 Bourbon County Stout Lineup

So the real question is whether I will finally get to try any of the variants, and how many actually make it to these parts

Re: Barleywines?

I found a single of Old Foghorn at Lukas Martin City a couple weeks ago, I believe Anchor still does that one.

I did see at least one Sucaba at the 64th Street Hy-Vee earlier tonight. I am finding the special release FW beers much easier to find that I used to.

Re: Boulevard 2019 Releases

Are you thinking of Brewhouse One Series? If so, the idea behind First Fridays Collection is that these are the same types of beers that would make sense for that series, but are brewed in slightly large quantities for distribution. "Slightly large" enough quantities to go after work and not do a l...

Re: Cigar City

Totally agree with you on that. I have this continual guilt for not supporting my favorite breweries enough, or buying my old favorites enough. I'm definitely too swayed by what's new each week. Then I feel bad that I could be fully shopping local with all their offerings alone. Nonetheless, I'll b...

Re: Found on the shelf...

I wasn't making much an effort to find it - but I did come across some Blvd Chocolate Ale. Price Chopper at 23rd and Sterling in Independence, I left 2 four packs.

Re: Found on the shelf...

FYI if anyone is still looking for them...

Hy-Vee on 23rd Street in Independence had at least 10 bottles of CBS for 22.99 and at least 5-6 BCBS for 10.99 as of earlier tonight.

Re: New in Janubeery

When will Kansas see Hop Slam? Distributor is hoping Monday or Tuesday. Is this still a release people go crazy for? I figure there's still interest, but it should be a fraction of what it was when it was only available on the MO side and (more importantly) before DIPA's were widely available. It's...
