New in Decembeer

Post by localbrewer » December 2nd, 2019, 2:46 pm

I picked up a four pack of Brandy Land today at Tipsy's for just a little over $15 with tax. I am excited to try it but will likely wait a day or two due to my advent calendar.

O'Dell DDH Imperial IPA which I found rather tasty. 5 Epic Big Bad Baptist Variants: Quintuple Barrel, Peanut Butter Cup, Hazelnut Vanilla Latte, Vanilla Brandy Barrel, and Chocolate Rapture. Lagunitas Cherry Jane, Enjoy By 1.1.2020, Founders Imperial Stout,

Trying some TG DDH Light Speed Pale Ale here, really digging this stuff. Plenty hazy and nicely hopped, but a tad more malt character than NE-style IPAs.

I just realized that I haven't seen any Anchor Our Special Ale this year. It's just not Christmas without that stuff, does anyone know where I might be able to find some, preferably in JoCo?

Did Lukas OP (or anywhere else) ever get Founders Underground Mountain Brown? I never saw it on anyone's Untappd. Was in on Saturday and grabbed the Hazelnut Vanilla Latte, Vanila Brandy, and Chocolate Rapture Baptists and was pleasantly surprised to find some of the Cherry BCBS (which I missed on Black Friday).

Finally made it to Alma Mader last week and the beers were superb. I love unfiltered bone dry mineral lagers and their Pillar was the best I have had in a long, long time.

Yep. Amazing lagers. Pillar is awesome. Premient (I hear it's coming back before too long) is the best beer I've had from a KC brewery this year. KC Bier Pils used to be my favorite KC made lager.

Bubbles BA Stock Block (Cinder Block Collab). Untappd says Bourbon Barrel Old Stock Ale, style guide says Red Ale-Imperial. Says aged in two of their store pick single barrels from Four Roses and Jefferson's Ocean Wheated. On growler station.

Please post when Premient is on and I will get over there.

I actually did some hunting yesterday for Magnums of this beer. I've had it on my dinner table at Christmas for 5+ years and it was my first Untappd check-in back in 2013.

I wasn't able to find a single outlet that had carried the magnums this year. LukasOP was even completely out of 12oz 6pks. I know its not JoCo, but Royal off StateLine and Gomers at 99th & Holmes both still had 6pks in stock as of yesterday afternoon/evening. That's my stomping ground.

Cheers!
