Favorite lower gravity beers

Post by EricH » July 18th, 2020, 5:51 pm

So, now that I am on a tiny bit of a health kick, I have decided that low gravity, low ABV might be the way to go, at least for right now. Does anyone have any favorite "session" or other beers on that end of the spectrum that they would recommend?

I bought some Oskar Blues One-y ( ) not long ago and I really dig it, it's essentially a Hazy Session IPA at 4% and 100 calories/12oz.

Lost Evenings is your kind of place. Low gravity is Pat's wheelhouse. Sadly I experienced some oxidation issues with a couple of their canned beers that I hung onto for a couple weeks. They'll get it fixed, but I'd drink up soon just to be safe.

Logboat Mamoot. Don’t see too many brewers doing a mild anymore, they’re too busy dumping ho-hos in the mash tun. :D Lots of malty goodness at 4%.

I've been digging Firestone Walker Flyjack IPA when I'm looking for something lower abv but still flavorful and also Gaffel Kolsch.
