Independence is due for some good stores. You should hear distributors talk about that BD's mongolian grill doing growlers. Apparently they crush craft beer kegs.

Amen to that. Independence is a wasteland. BDs is my normal hangout. $3 pints before 6 and all day monday. I also heard that they will soon be getting a permanent Prairie line as well.

Happy Hour in Independence usually has a decent selection of non-hard-to-find but good stuff, and Hyvee on 40 gets stuff now and then, but yeah. Generally Indep is a wasteland.

My girlfriend just got a teaching job in the independence school district. I'll probably end up being out there soon and will have to check out some of these places.

Add Screenland Armour to the list. The event this weekend was impressive too.

Grain to Glass (16th & Swift in North Kansas City) carries Shelton Brothers, and specializes in Prairie Artisan Ales, Jolly Pumpkin, and Mikkeller--among others.
Cervoise Club members are alerted on incoming beers prior to arrival--and can reserve them.

If I'm getting beer in Independence, I usually go to the Hy-Vee on 40 and Noland. I've tried the bubbles on Noland, and I think it's ok, but the one up north is apparently WAY better, as it wasn't that great.

Already had Grain to Glass and Bubbles Indep.

Did add Hy-Vee 40 Hwy and Price Chopper Barry Rd and N Oak.

Any details on the Cervoise Club? Taking it's a Grain to Glass deal.

I would love to hear more information on the bottle selection at Grain and Glass generally. That's new, right? Last I knew this was just a homebrew shop.
