Found on the shelf...

Postby Brentleman » June 21st, 2013, 1:44 pm

Thought I'd start a thread for stuff that we may have thought was gone, but was spotted on the shelf somewhere. If there is already a similar thread, please point me to it.

I was at Red-X today and was surprised to see they still have:
- Sierra Nevada Hoptimum
- Mother's Doozy

Also, they just got in some unsold/redistributed Deschutes:
- Black Butte XXIV
- Stoic

Given that XXV is about to drop, seeing XXIV on the shelf was very surprising. Again, this is on the shelf, no secret handshake required.

Red-X also had cases of Double Trouble, but since I also saw it at Hy-Vee (64th street & I-29), I assume it's still around in a lot of places.

FYI.

I was at the Royal on SW Boulevard last night and they had 765s of Matilda & Sofie, Tilquin gueueueze, Femme Fatale Noir & Blanc, 4-packs of Hoptimum and a couple other surprisingly good beers.

And Widmer's Hopside Down IPL which I've been interested in but didn't get.

For the KS folks, does anyone ever see any old Shelton Bros stuff still on the shelf?

No, not really. There might be one or two, like some old Dieu du Ciel or Slaapmustke, but no real stock left at the places I frequent.

I can forgive ignorance but after losing Stone they apparently lack the capacity for learning as well.

Sam's Club on N. Oak has Terra Incognita for $6.96, same price as the regular Smokestack lineup.
