Imperial Doughnut Break by Evil Twin. It is slightly "doughnut glaze" sweet, but not overly. I'm really enjoying it the richness of this porter. For some reason I really wanted to try this. And IMO it's worth picking up.

Thomas u may want to reconsider.

Evil Twin Bozo Beer. Really digging this. Loads of coffee and dark chocolate. Followed by some vanilla and hazelnut. Was a little skeptical after reading the description, but its a solid brew. Probably pick up another one.

Had nightmare on brett grand cru. Thanks @ Patrick Cohen. This beer might be one of the best beers I've had in a while. Gonna be a good year if i can come across a brew like this one a month.

SN Narwahl, I'm not a huge impy stout fan because most lack drinkability, but this is an imperial stout that drinks like a regular stout, no excessive alcohol, despite 10%+, no flabbiness, no over the top barrel character, just malty chocolate goodness.

Glad you enjoyed it. They make some damn fine stuff.

If anyone is going to be in the Lawrence area tomorrow night PM me. I'm going to be in town and have nothing planned. Would love to have a mini bottle share or hit up Free State.

Had Lolita and Friek tonight at Barley's in Shawnee. Historically I have not been a huge sour fan, but I loved both of these. Lolita was a little smoother. Friek was a bit more complex and tart. More please!

It was a good birthday party last night. :-)

A few thoughts:
Brooklyn Monster Ale is a really nice barleywine.
Woodcut 6 (at least this bottle) is not aging as badly as some people have suggested.
Imperial Biscotti Break Natale (cherry) was a complete miss for me. Really not very enjoyable, IMO.
Mother's Squashed is excellent and I wish I had more.
Serendipity is barely beer, it's more like slightly alcoholic apple juice. But it was still delicious and I would drink more. :-)

That really surprises me about the Natale. Myself and several friends who tried it all really enjoyed it.

2011 Boulevard Chocolate Ale. The Milk Chocolate notes have somewhat subsided, but it's still a great pour. Looking forward to the '14 release.
