I am drinking this right now....the fact that I had to ask myself “I wonder what this would taste like if they barrel aged it?” says it all. It’s the best stout offering they’ve had recently and if “Aztec X” tasted like this I might have busted a nut. But it didn’t, and now I have 2oz of Beer left that I’m pouring down the sink. :slow clap:[/quote]

This quote confuses me. Are you saying BA Messenger didn’t taste barrel aged? Are you drinking an Aztec X now and drain pouring the last 2oz?

What I’m trying to say is.... i Wanted more barrel aging. I wanted Aztec X to taste like this. It was good, things are looking up.

This is awesome! We can call it synergistic barrel aging. The technique of putting charred staves inside of a charred barrel.

Had several Cinder Block Hop Cuddles on Saturday, and really liked it. Soft, fresh and clean IPA.

Lüp Süp. Killer beer. Best locally made NE IPA. Not even close IMO.
