Music

If it's not necessarily beer-related, post about it here.

Anyone else here into 'em?

2013 is already shaping up to be one of the best years ever as far as live music goes around here. We missed Toro Y Moi last Thursday and I missed Maserati last night due to the snowstorm(s), but the wife and I have already gone to see Father John Misty, and have all kinds of other shows coming up that one or both of us will be attending:

3/3: California Guitar Trio with Montreal Guitar Trio
3/10: Alabama Shakes
3/22: Pinback
4/3: Spiritualized
4/5: Middle of the Map Fest (specifically, Grizzly Bear)
4/24: Bonobo
4/28: Black Keys and Flaming Lips
5/25: El Ten Eleven

Anyone else here like to attend shows? (Hi, Pulp!) What shows? How were they? Any good beer there? etc.

Don't know if I will go to any of these but some interesting shows in Lawrence

Robert Earl Kenn, Morrissey, Talib Kweli.

Yeah Talib Kweli would be cool. I guarantee you're not going to the Morrissey show, though -- tickets *start* at $60/ea. and go up to $125. That mofo cray if he thinks I'ma pay dat.

Don't hate me cuz its main stream, but I saw 1 of my favorite bands, the red hot chili peppers, last year, not sure if I can top that. My wife and I love to go to concerts typically.

I used to really like the Chilis a lot. I still like their old stuff -- One Hot Minute and on back from there, essentially. When I was in high school, Mother's Milk was one of those albums I just played the hell out of. Fishbone, too!
