Lots of small breweries have opened in the Kansas City area, with more in the planning. A quality assurance program is important in making the best beers that win and keep customers.
With nine years' experience in QA at Boulevard Brewing Co, microbiologist Jennifer Helber has offered consulting to midwest breweries. She will now offer a 3-hour workshop to small breweries, to introduce techniques to know yeast viability, detection of beer-spoiling bacteria, and sensory training (recognize off-flavors). Techniques appropriate for a small brewery will be presented.
The workshop is offered at Grain to Glass (16th & Swift, NKC) on President's Day, Feb. 20th, 8:30 am-11:30 am. Cost to attend is $75; registration required: http://bpt.me/2859673
