Breakfast for (Beer) Dinner & Requiem for a Pancake 2/28

Postby JeremyDanner » February 13th, 2017, 2:12 pm

Last year, Boulevard’s brewers and barrel-wranglers got their hands on something special – a collection of diminutive eight-gallon oak barrels that had worked their magic on Woodinville Whiskey Co. rye and bourbon, before taking a turn aging rich, complex maple syrup. That’s where we came in: we brewed a big, boozy imperial brown ale to luxuriate in these already twice-used micro-barrels, a super-small batch beer almost ready for our friends and neighbors.

Join us for the release of Requiem for a Pancake. This syrup-soaked event calls for a bountiful breakfast-for-dinner, worth staying up late for. Guests will enjoy a four-course meal paired with some of our favorite beers, and take a home a 12 oz. bottle signed by our brewmaster.

Bottles will be available to the public at our Tours & Recreation Center beginning at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 1st ($12 each, limit four per person). For every bottle sold, Boulevard will donate $1 to Guadalupe Centers, Inc., serving the Kansas City community since 1919.

Menu:
• Salmon Blintz / Tank 7 Mimosa
• Granola Parfait / Long Strange Tripel
• Coffee-cured pork belly benedict / Early Riser
• Bananas Foster pancake / Requiem for a Pancake

Tickets to the dinner are $75.

Approx how many bottles will be for sale? Can't imagine I can get away from work on a Wednesday morning.

I've been clamoring for Boulevard to do limited bottles since the Smokestack series geared up. Wish Fouder would make a frequent bottled return. Chocolate Ale should be a brewery only release as well.

Awesome!!

Hell, "we've" talked about a tasting with this kind of breakfast idea and all the maple beers. Great idea!
