HyVee in LS on 291 posted that they have Schlafly King Kaya blond ale. Sounds interesting.

the Stone releases sold out quick. I managed to get one of each. I LOVED the base beer so hopefully it lives up to the hype I've given it in my mind.

We (Lukas OP) just got some Stone Bourbon Barrel Aged Arrogant Bastard. We are selling them as individual 12oz. bottles. 2 Bottle Limit. It is up front with the cashiers.

Grabbed the BA Arrogant last night and was a bit underwhelmed. I think Stone usually nails their standard releases and their regular limited editions (RIS, Enjoy) but I'm usually not a fan of their more experimental and barrel aged releases. Dunno...

I'm in the same boat, actually. It's certainly not that it's screwed up or anything, it's just extremely subtle. There is no way that stuff is 100% barrel-aged, but the aging process apparently takes long enough that the hop bitterness and flavors fade drastically, and since there's not a lot of bourbon barrel character either, you just get the malts coming through which are really only balanced well when the hops are present and pretty fresh.
