Well per their Facebook page, it's true. Last day will be Dec 23.

It's a sentimental loss for sure, but to be honest I rarely visit Westport anymore--for a variety of reasons.

We have been clamoring for a craft beer boom in KC for years. At the risk of over-simplifying, I'm afraid we need to accept this closure as an unfortunate consequence of the fulfillment of that desire.

I always enjoyed the food at McCoys and will probably stop in once before they close.

the food was really good! can you explain what you meant by "At the risk of over-simplifying"?

I will be there on the 20th for the Ursa Major release for sure. That will also be my last visit, no doubt. :(

Web site says that they have tapped 2013 and 2014 Ursa Major.

They tapped it a couple weeks ago very quietly. Thought it was pretty curious when I saw they posted that...now it all makes sense.
